Posts, Users, & Pageviews
In February I published 2 new posts. This is my normal for 2023.
My users were down a little from January. However, my pageviews were much higher. If you look my stand out number this month is the pages/session.
People were staying on my website and looking at multiple articles.
My typical pages/session is about 1.2 or 1.3, but in February it was 1.76.

Ok so I want to talk about what happened this month. I gave in January I started planning out goals for the next 12 weeks. All of this was based around promoting my blog and articles on social media. In February I primarily focused on Facebook. I joined mom groups about newborns and breastfeeding primarily.
I started answering questions, commenting, and sometimes linking to helpful blog posts that were related to a question or concern.
Now a lot of these groups have rules against promoting your own stuff. Some even specifically say blog posts. I am trying to do so in a reasonable amount. I am not spamming the groups.
However, I am going to link to my stuff. Otherwise I am wasting my time. People are not going to magically jump to my website. Also these are the exact people I want to target. I want to help moms, especially new moms that have questions!
It is amazing how many moms doubt and question themselves. It has been quite interesting to see the concerns.
So anyway some of my traffic is from Facebook in February, Overall it isn’t a ton of users and probably not worth the amount of time I spent in the Facebook groups.
But look at my users to pageviews this month and the number of pageviews per session.
I believe these moms are reading multiple articles when they come to my website. This is where interlinking articles is essential!
Pinterest Impressions
Pinterest went slightly down from January to February. In March I am going to publish a new pin everyday rather than every other day. I am working on all forms of promotion.
I just seem to get stuck at a certain point with Pinterest. Not sure exactly what I am doing wrong there.
Email Subscribers
I got 2 New Email Subscribers!!! The last time I got a new subscriber was May 2022!!! Yay!!!
I think they may have come from my Facebook outreach maybe! My facebook outreach is getting me in front of the right people!!!
I am now up to 7!
Both of them subscribed through my Toddler Weekly Checklist.
This is in the 18 month article which is very popular. It also makes me think maybe they didn’t come from Facebook. I think most of my Facebook traffic should be breastfeeding and newborns based on the groups I joined.
I will send out some articles soon that would be applicable for parents with an 18 month old!
Income
No income for February but it looks like right at the end of the month 2 items were ordered. I will likely see that income next month! Yay!

Goals
I want to see months with over 1000 pageviews consistently. I almost made it in February, so I would like to see that in March!
I need to get ads back on my website to capitalize on the traffic I am working to get. I have struggled with this though from a tech perspective.
Strategy/Changes
Like I touched on I am working on my 12 week plan to promote my blog through social media. I first started with Facebook and am adding Twitter and Instagram. I am also trying to up my Pinterest game.

I am so excited to see my numbers for this month. I have mixed feelings about the social media effort with Facebook. On the one hand I know I put a lot of time into it. I also found myself getting sucked in and scrolling aka wasting time on social media. This is a struggle. I want to use it, but not be a user of it!
Facebook only brought me in 22 users. Is this enough? That is debatable. If they are people who like my content, stick around, and maybe join my email list then yes they are worth it.
Also I love seeing that users were viewing multiple pages. I hope they found my content helpful.
Conclusion
I am so excited to see what March holds.
I want to see what I can do with Instagram and Twitter.
I want to see my numbers go up as far as pageviews and users.
I want to see if I make some money with those Amazon purchases from the end of February.
I want to see real progress and report on it.
Growth is the goal.
