We are going to jump into Q2 goals and see what happened. This is Quarter 2 for 2022. I have goals for two different blogs.
Blog #1 launched January 2021
Blog #2 launched July 2021
Let’s see how we did and if these goals were reasonable.

Overall I was happy with the content I put out in Q2. I kept up with my weekly publishing schedule. This is very important to me in holding me accountable to my blog and not giving up on it.
I did not fully get content written for Q3. My goal with this was due to the fact I had a baby coming in June. It would have been nice to have the ability to coast through Q3 focusing on just keeping up with Pinterest and other tasks rather than trying to find time to write with a newborn.
I was able to publish content through July and the first week of August though. It is a start and gives me a bit of a buffer to continue batching content and doing my best to stay ahead.
I did place PDFs into 5 more posts during Q2. Now that I have PDF ready to go in Convertkit it is easy to place the forms into articles.

I cannot keep up with the demands of Pinterest. Maybe I am doing it wrong, but I have been creating unique pin images and unique pin descriptions every time I publish a pin. It is exhausting to keep up. I quickly lowered my daily pins to only 3 per day. For Q3 I am only publishing 2 pins per day.
I honestly feel like I am working for Pinterest. It is too much. I want to focus on my content, brand, email list, and products. Pinterest is a huge time suck, though it is my main traffic source.
I am currently at 5 total email subscribers for the year. I definitely did not hit my goal of gaining subscribers.
I did email my list at a couple of different points. One email was promoting my digital product.
Clearly, promotion is an ear I need to do better.
Traffic
2000 pageview month nope
70 K Impression Pinterest Month nope
I did not even come close to my traffic goals. I just can’t seem to find any growth on Pinterest. I am exactly where I was during Q1.
I need to start promotion using other tactics like SEO and other social media platforms.
Products
Work on Creation of Small Product completed
This is the one area I am proud of myself. It took me all the way to the end of Q2 but I did get my product not only created but also launched.
I did a little promotion by emailing my tiny list as well as publishing my first pin related to the product.
I realize that my small audience is not going to convert to many of any purchases. I am proud of myself though because I figured out how to create the product as well as the sales system to get it to customers and accept payment safely.
Learning new tasks can be very intimidating.
I hope to launch more products in the future as my blog hopefully grows.
Income
$150 total for Q2 nope
Something happened with my ads and I haven’t figured it out yet. So I made nothing from display ads. I, unfortunately, did not make a single Amazon affiliate sale during Q2. My other source of income was my digital product which I have not sold yet. I am not surprised by this with how late into Q2 I launched it.
My total income for Q2 was $0.
This is not even close to my goal. It is pretty disappointing.

I kept up on my publishing schedule for Q2. I am proud to maintain my schedule and dedication through consistency. I was able to put 5 PDF freebies into posts. These are how I gain email subscribers.

Start Writing Email Newsletter (25 subscribers) nope
I only have 1 total email subscriber for the entire year. I have not emailed my list for this blog and did not hit my goal of 25 subscribers.
This blog is struggling to gain traffic through Pinterest.
I honestly thought this blog would go crazy on Pinterest with readers interested in income reports. When I first started learning about blogging I went nuts reading them.
Traffic
500 Pageview Month nope
20 K Pinterest Impression Month nope
I did not come close to either of my traffic goals. This blog is not as much of a priority compared to blog #1. However, I am taking the time to create pins for Pinterest. The time I am investing in Pinterest does not seem to be paying off with this blog.
Products
Work on Creation of Small Product nope
I did not work on my product for this blog. Instead, I put all my efforts into the product for my first blog. With my dismal traffic, it did not seem worth my time to create a product at this point.
Income
$150 total income nope
I made nothing with this blog. I do not have ads on the site yet. I have struggled so much with ads on my first site that it didn’t seem worth the effort to get them on this blog that basically has no traffic. My only source of income is Bluehost affiliate links. I need to apply for more affiliate programs but have not yet done so.
I made $0 in Q2.
Conclusion
In Q1 I met quite a few of my goals. Q2 however, I just didn’t make any progress. A lot of stuff like income and traffic remained stagnant. Q2 was pretty much a flop for the goals I created.
The only things I was successful in were publishing on schedule, creating and placing PDFs in my posts, and getting my product for blog #1 launched. These were goals I had complete control over.
