This month I fell short on my publishing goals. The reason for this was family circumstances caused me to need to take time away from the blog.
I wasn’t ahead on posting at the time so I missed 3 scheduled dates. This was the first time in my blogging journey I have missed publishing dates.
I accept it though. Life happens. I will bounce back in December.
I started diving into Pinterest this month. I didn’t do so when I first launched my blog because it would have been too much to handle. This is my secondary blog. My first is 6 months older than this blog.
I feel good about getting Pinterest started. I hope to see an improvement in traffic with this change. The first few months I simply focused on getting out content. Now I will hopefully work on getting traffic.
Goals
My November goal was to get going on Pinterest. I was successful in this. I plan to post 5 pins per day. I was able to do this every day of the month except 4 days where I did not publish any pins.
The other goal was to try to push my Bluehost links because affiliate commission were up for November. I was not able to make any effort here. Bluehost offers bonuses for referrals. This just wasn’t a priority ultimately because it did not get done.
Now I know for next year to start promoting posts related to starting a new blog right before November. Through my first year of blogging, I have learned about other important dates, such as Amazon Prime Day and the obvious ones of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Strategy/Changes
I am going to start slightly slowing down on my content publishing schedule. I want to turn this blog into a business. I want to implement different strategies other than just content creation.
This could be building an email list or creating a product to sell. All of my time cannot be Pinterest and content creation.
Those are strategy changes for next year.

The break I took from blogging was much needed. It was due to extreme family circumstances. I am glad I took the break that I needed. I am now jumping back into blogging and am excited to see where I can take this blog next year.
Conclusion
As I am closing in on 6 months of running my second blog. I am ready to learn new skills, make some business moves, and take my work to the next level. I am proud of what I have accomplished thus far.
