Published Posts
I need to start by saying that this month I had to take a break from blogging due to family circumstances.
During this break, I was not able to keep up with my publishing schedule. This was the first time in 11 months that I have taken a break.
I would have published 6 posts this month, but due to the circumstances, I was only able to publish 3 posts. I have to be satisfied with this because life was more important than running my blog.
I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge that this is why I like to be ahead on publishing posts.
Typically in WordPress, I have from 3 to 5 posts published and scheduled to go out at the proper times. By staying ahead you can be prepared for an emergency and your blog will continue to run without you.
Users & Pageviews
Users were up from October to November. Once again I was happy with the growth here.
November overall was a strong month for daily users. The first three days started off crazy. Then I saw a dip in the days surrounding Thanksgiving. People were hopefully spending quality time with family and not the internet.
My pageviews went down overall for November compared to October. This doesn’t typically happen. October was weirdly high though. I haven’t completely figured out how or why. November just couldn’t quite compete with October’s crazy pageviews.
Overall we are seeing growth. I have continued to be patient for 11 months. Seeing this growth is the reward for all the work I am putting into this blog.
When I took time away from the blog I never completely abandoned my Pinterest account. Before my break, I luckily had scheduled out quite a few pins and when I returned from my break Pinterest was what I jumped back into first.
I had one day where only a single pin was published. There were a few days of only 2-3 pins published. My account didn’t suffer. I think I will continue to drop the number of pins I publish each day.
Income
I first thought this was a month with no income, but looking back I can now see I had $3.75 in Ezoic ads earnings this month.
Goals
Let’s take a look at some of my November goals:
1. Start publishing pins with images that are my own (not stock photography)
2. Keep up on publishing schedule
3. Figure out ads
I was not able to achieve all of these goals due to family circumstances.

Strategy/Changes
I haven’t put much thought into my blog this month. November was a difficult month.
If anything I am going to slightly adjust my business plans for next year.
I would also like to start slowing down on my publishing schedule now rather than waiting for the New Year.

This month was extremely challenging. I am proud of myself for pushing my blog to the side when life events were more important.
I have been quite obsessed with my blog at times. Knowing when to take time away was important.
I still want to get back to blogging and pursue this fully. This situation was a prime example of why blogging is amazing. When you need to step away you can and users will still come to your sites.
This is the beauty of blogging.
Conclusion
This was my first time stepping away from my blog for a given amount of time. I have come back though and feel good about where I am at. The important thing is the ability to jump back in and not let a break turn into giving up.
For the little amount of work I did in November I am happy with the results.
