Published Posts
I published 5 posts in March. Two of them were income reports and three were what I would consider very helpful content. I was very happy with what went out this month.
Users & Pageviews
My number of users is up this month, but my pageviews are down. When people are coming to my site they are only viewing a single page more often than multiple pages. Last month they were viewing multiple pages.
When readers start looking at income reports I would imagine they look at quite a few articles on my site. This is where linking and providing helpful content can boost your views.
Pinterest Impressions
Pinterest has been a struggle for this blog. I think a huge factor was that I didn’t prep my boards. I only pinned my own content. It has taken quite some time to get anywhere.
I was previously creating a pin. I would tweak it just slightly to make 4 versions of the pin. I would then schedule an article with that pin to go to 4 boards publishing every other day. I dropped it to three and then mid-March made the switch to only pinning the image to a single board.
It appears to be helping my impression rise! I am seriously considering implementing this with my other blog which has become quite stagnant on Pinterest.
I hope to continue this momentum.
I will say creating an image and only pinning it once is time-consuming!
Throughout my entire blogging journey, I have said Pinterest is a time suck! I spent about 23 hours doing Pinterest-related tasks for this blog in March. That is way too much time!
I would strongly recommend learning about SEO before launching your blog or publishing too many posts. You want them to be searchable by readers so you are not responsible for constant promotion.
If I removed Pinterest from my business I would have so much time for other tasks. The only probably would be I likely wouldn’t have traffic. Clearly, it is a necessary evil.
Email Subscribers
Unfortunately, I do not have any email subscribers. I need to work on creating more freebies to get people to opt-in. I am just swamped with tasks and this blog comes second to my first blog.
Gaining subscribers is important for audience retention and potentially selling a future product. However, there are lots of important tasks with blogging. I can only do so much as a one-man show.
Income
I made no income for March with this blog. My only source of income currently is my Bluehost affiliate link which is not converting. I probably need to write more tips for launching your blog and focus on those people who are just starting.
I would like to get Ezoic ads on this site. It will only make me pennies though with my traffic so I am not overly worried about this.
Expenses
This month I had no blogging expenses.
Goals
I already have all content for April published. I want to work on publishing everything I can for May, June, and even July. It won’t all happen in April but it will get done soon. The only things I can’t publish in advance are income reports because I have to wait for the numbers to come in.
Other content though can be batched and mass-produced in advance.
I love the feeling of being ahead on content.
It wasn’t necessarily a goal, but something I got done was changing my website from HTTP to HTTPS this was an important to-do list item.
Strategy/Changes
Like I said before I changed up my Pinterest strategy. I went from 4 copies of a pin going to 4 boards, to now only one copy going to one board. This seems to be working for my impressions.
In April I am dropping down to only 3 pins publishing per day rather than the 5 I was previously doing. Hopefully, this doesn’t negatively impact my impressions and frees up a bit of time.

Feelings
I enjoy publishing content on this blog but that is about it. Pinterest is not fun. Seeing no income month after month is no fun. Hopefully one day I can take all the content I have poured into this blog and turn it into something profitable.
I enjoy documenting my journey and I truly want to help other bloggers.
The traffic I am getting is very demotivating. I feel like I am helping no one.
I will continue publishing content because it isn’t all that hard.
I will continue publishing pins because I want to maintain my account and not lose the little bit of traffic I have worked so hard for.
I wish this blog could see some real growth. Just being honest.
Conclusion
Some numbers were up and some numbers were down. I am pushing out content that I believe can be helpful. I simply want to get it in front of more people.
