As far as my users and pageviews I can’t complain. I saw growth in both areas from last month. This is my highest number of users for any given month.
Some bloggers say you will start to see move traffic from Google around months 7, 8, and 9 others are saying it now takes like 12 months. People call it getting out of the “Google Sandbox.” I am hoping now that my site has some age this will happen soon. People report having 20K visitors per much and numbers like that. I am here to provide an example of that just not happening. I am showing slow growth. Maybe this is due to needing more time or maybe it is flaws in things I am doing.
Overall just about all of the numbers moved in the positive direction so I can’t worry or complain too much.
I believe I have had my best single day of impressions ever. On Thursday, July 29th I had 4.69 K impressions in a single day. The tops three pins of the day show 854, 620, and 600 impressions. In that same order, the Pins were 8 Baby Tips You Haven’t Heard Before, 10 Tips to Have the Best Bath Time Routine, and How Every Parent Can Get Their Child Prepared for Daycare.
This Pinterest Spike was also responsible for my most users per day. On July 29th I received 26 users to the website. This shows me that Pinterest is helping and is carrying me at this point.
I created about 11 new Pinterest Boards. I did so on July 18. They have a few pins that do not belong to me, just to get them going. I didn’t go too crazy though.
6/18/21 to 7/18/21 my Pinterest Impressions were 43.7 K.
7/19/21 to 8/19/21 my Pinterest Impressions were 54.5 K
I am curious to see if new boards make a difference at all.
Goals
A goal I had in July was to launch 2 more blogs. One of them is launched with content on it. The other has the domain purchases and a shell of a website. It is not live yet. I think this third site will get pushed back and maybe go live at the end of September so it is ready for Q4.
I am happy though that I took the steps to purchase these domains and commit to getting them going.
My hope is that these sites being #2 and #3 will be more successful than momwifeandeverydaylife which is site #1.
I still have not been accepted by Target. They have delays for whatever reason, but I did reach out to them again during July. I am at the mercy of Target on this so to be determined.
I spent some time working on resizing pictures I have taken and getting them into pin template con canva. I need to continue making more this month. On September 1st I will start mixing these fresh picture pins into the mixture of my other pins I am publishing. Hopefully the Pinterest algorithm will like my personally taken photographs.
If you have a desire to track your own blogging numbers click the form to become a subscriber and you will get a free PDF with templates you can use yourself. I have provided a couple of options as well as an example filled out for you.
Strategy/Changes
Publishing will stay the same.
Pins being published will stay the same.
I added new Pinterest boards on July 18. It was about 11 boards so we will see if that does anything.
On July 29th I went through and checked on all of my links. Links that connect to an article of mine I have set to open up in a new tab and for google to pay attention to them. Links that go to products such as an Amazon product are no-follow and open up in a new tab.
At some point along the way, I quit doing these steps with my links so now everything is how it should be.
I am curious to see if my slight changes in the links will affect bounce rates and time on the page.

Feelings
I am happy that the majority of my numbers went up. Once again I don’t feel that I did enough to move my blog forward. I published posts and pins on schedule. I am currently ahead on my stockpile of posts to publish. Those things all make me feel great.
I just don’t know what else I should be doing at times. Like how do I make sure my speed is ok? At times based on my analytics it looks like visitors are on my site little to no time.
I am also continually worried about how to increase my traffic. I do not feel I have time to push my content on social media. Which I don’t even have an established following with. I guess I don’t even know where to start with that.
My email list is once again something I need to put time into working on.
I keep debating what I could do better to increase traffic. Should I just keep doing what I am doing and hope that with time Google starts to better rank my content or should I be actively making moves, but what moves?
With blogging, you can’t change too many things at once or you won’t actually know what worked. But at the same time trying waiting to try things can be a waste of time.
Conclusion
AS always I am thrilled to have made it through another month blogging. I stayed consistent on publishing articles and pins on my schedule.
I need to keep taking big steps though in monetizing with ads and trying to get email subscribers. I would love to see my blog make actual progress.
I think I need to quit being busy and stat being productive with my tasks and my time.
