These were the 5 posts I published. I felt like they were a good variety.
The first is seasonal. The second is mostly just information-based. The third is affiliate driven. The 4th is again helpful and just general parenting advice for kids of a wide age range. The 5th is less about parenting and more about running your home.
Users & Pageviews
If you look at my pageviews compared to the number of users you can see that people are clearly viewing multiple pages. The pages per session are 1.44. This is the highest I have seen it in a long time. This means my interlinking of articles is working. People are navigating to multiple articles.
My pageviews were so close to making it back over 1000 in a month. I would really like to see this happen consistently.
Pinterest Impressions
All of the 4 main Pinterest numbers were down. I don’t know why the percentage of total audience is green and positive. According to my stats, last month was higher. My Pinterest numbers have been stuck FOREVER! I don’t know what I need to do to see real progress.
Pinterest feels like such a waste of my time. It is tempting to ditch Pinterest and pay for a course on SEO and take that route.
I am spending so much time creating and publishing pins.
Email Subscribers
I did not gain any new email subscribers in June. I did however email them about the launch of my digital product.
Of my 5 current subscribers, only one opened the email. No one unsubscribed though so that’s good.
I need to do better at emailing my list in general and letting them know about new articles that have been published.
Income
I did not make any income this month. This was my highest month for Amazon clicks though. It is too bad this didn’t correlate to sales. I wish I could figure out why I had so many clicks this month.
Expenses
I did not have any expenses this month.
Goals
June
My goals for June were primarily to get ahead/keep up on Pinterest and to get my first digital product launched.
My Pinterest goal was due to my second child being born in June. You never know when a baby is going to arrive. I wanted to be as up-to-date as possible on my Pinterest publishing. I knew I would need days away from my computer while in the hospital and recovering.
I also wanted to prepare pins and descriptions in advance for future pins for when I was ready to jump back into blogging. The goal was that I wouldn’t have a gap on Pinterest publishing.
I have wanted to launch a digital product for quite some time. I realize this first product might be more of a learning experience than a raving success.
I wanted to conquer the fear and learn the logistics of creating and launching a product.
Now I won’t have a fear of creating and launching more future products.
Getting everything set up and working took me a while. On June 30th though I did have my product and all necessary pages up and running. I also emailed my list of only 5 subscribers. I created and published one pin related to my product.
Basically, my promotion at this point is minimal. I do not expect sales to be flooding in.
July
I burned through everything I had prepared in June for Pinterest. I need to spend July getting way ahead again. Maternity leave won’t last forever.
I want to send two emails this month to my list letting them know about new articles.
I also want to make an effort to publish a few more pins promoting my digital product.
My stretch goal would be to get ads back on my website.
Strategy/Changes
The newest thing I am working on is getting my digital product out there and trying to market it. This is a fresh opportunity for revenue. I realize I am not likely to see huge success at first but am still proud of my progress in this area.
I plan to continue chugging along with Pinterest. For July and moving forward for now I am publishing 2 pins daily. This is not what I originally planned for in my Q3 goals. However, I can’t maintain making a ton of fresh pins daily. Yes, I batch them. But it is still too much work for me.
Once again this is where I probably need to invest more time into SEO which pays off long-term.

Feelings
I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I wish I would have worked harder before the arrival of my baby. I now have a newborn at home with me while on maternity leave. It is a lot to manage and I know when I go back to work (baby goes with me) it will only get harder.
With the arrival of my baby, I am feeling pressured to absolutely maximize my working time. I want to spend my time on tasks that benefit my blog. The question always is what tasks are best?
I am feeling proud of myself for launching my first digital product. I know I don’t have much of an audience, but I do hope to see success with launching products in the future.
Conclusion
This month was a huge month in that I launched my first digital product and had a baby.
