Published Posts
This month 4 posts went live. I went ahead and scheduled posts for all of March and half of April. I can’t get too far ahead with this blog because I post income reports. This February income report will not be published until the end of April.
What I have determined is I can get ahead on writing other blogging content and leave empty weeks to fill in with income reports for both blogs.
Users & Pageviews
I am simply not seeing the growth I expected for this blog. This is my second blog. It doesn’t get as much love and attention as the first blog. However, with it being my second blog I feel that I should be doing better. I should be implementing what I learned with my first blog and achieving results faster. This blog is 6 months behind my first blog as far as the date launched. The progress is way behind where my first blog was at this point.
Pinterest Impressions
I do not know what is going on with my Pinterest account. I cannot seem to gain any traction. My numbers were down once again.
This month I updated my Pinterest profile description. Apparently, they are allowing more characters than they previously were.
I added 5 new boards.
I also finally took the time to claim my website on my Pinterest account. Check out my article on How to Claim Your Website on Pinterest.
The only thing that I did majorly different with this Pinterest account from my first was loading new boards with other creators’ pins. I tried keeping my boards to only content I have created.
Maybe this has been a mistake. Or maybe it was an experiment.
During March I am going to change up my pin publishing strategy slightly. We’ll touch on this more later.
Here is a look at the past 4 months of running my Pinterest account from the beginning. You can see I get the occasional spike, but my average traffic isn’t going up much at all.
Email Subscribers
This month I barely started working on building my email list. I placed the same PDF freebie into 20 different posts. It is a tracking sheet for income and expense and went into 20 reports.
I haven’t gained any subscribers yet. In March I am going to need to make more of an effort to put even better PDFs into posts.
Income
None.
My only source of income is people signing up for Bluehost via my affiliate links. Hopefully, I will place ads to this website soon.
Expenses
None.
Goals
My goals for February were basically getting ahead on content creation, which I was very successful at.
We can take a look at my Q1 goals.
I have three goals still to complete in March. I honestly don’t know that any of them will be achieved. They are goals that I do not have direct or complete control over.
All I need is for one person to sign up for Bluehost using my link and I will hit my monetary goal.
I need to continue to place for PDFs to gather email subscribers. Based on my traffic it is likely I will not achieve the goal of 5 email subscribers. I should have worked harder in February.
Pinterest has been a disaster for this blog! It would be a miracle if I hit 10 K impressions for March. In January and February, I didn’t even come close. Let’s talk about my plan in the next section.
Content Creation | Promotion | Traffic | Products | Income |
1 Article per Week (Wed) | Pinterest 5 Pins Daily | 100 Pageview Month | None Start Brainstorming Ideas | $50 Total for Q1 Ads Affiliates |
Constant Pin Creation | Start Gathering Email Subscribers (5 Subs) | 10 K Impression Pinterest Month | ||

Strategy/Changes
This blog has had the slowest growth. Maybe I am impatient comparing it to my older, more successful blog.
I need traffic!
In March I am changing up my Pinterest strategy. First off I am dropping down from 4 to 3 copies of a pin going out to 3 boards. Those are already scheduled.
The next step is to start only publishing a single pin of a pin image to only one board. This way they are as fresh as possible. This will start on March 14th. If I do not see progress from this shift I will be pretty disappointed.
I probably should have started doing this a while ago. I just thought my account would grow as my first one did. When I first started blogging I found income reports addictive. I figured more people would find them on Pinterest.

Feelings
I am honestly feeling pretty deflated with this blog. I can tell I have a lot more excitement for my mommy blog currently. I just need to see some growth and progress here.
Conclusion
Hopefully the changes I make to my Pinterest strategy pay off. I would love to see more traffic and be able to achieve my Q1 goals.
