As always I accomplished my goal of publishing 6 posts this month. I am concerned though because I am not as far ahead going into October. I need to spend a week batching content for this website.
I enjoy feeling ahead, not behind.
Users & Pageviews
My users and pageviews are higher than ever. This is awesome. As always I would love for faster growth, but growth is growth. Seeing my numbers rise is great. It gives me confidence in being on the right track.
As far as pageviews, I do have something that is both amazing and scary. My post Daily Schedule for a 10 Month Old is bringing in a strong majority of my traffic.
This month it brought in 123 pageviews, which is nearly 18% of pageviews.
If my total posts were getting equal traffic they would each be bringing in about 11 pageviews and accounting for 2% of pageviews.
I wish I could figure out why this single post is performing so well. My thinking is that it is very searchable on Pinterest. My pins tied to this post are some of my top pins overall.
I don’t think it is because the pins are designed well and bringing people in. I truly think it is the search-ability.
I am nervous though in that if anything happens to this post my traffic will tank which would be disheartening. I am afraid to tweak it at all!
At the end of this month, I started slowing down gradually on the number of pins I publish in a single day. For a long time, my number was 9 pins per day. In October I plan to publish 6, 7, or 8 pins a day.
My reason for this I because I want to slow down on using up my fresh pins. Creating pins is not one of my favorite tasks. I am getting better at doing so quickly, but I do not enjoy it.
The other reason is that in October I want to start promoting my second blog. Blogging with Amanda on Pinterest. Managing two accounts will be a challenge along with creating and publishing content for both sites.

Just in case there is any confusion we are talking numbers for my mommy blog. These numbers are recorded and posted on my blogging blog. I publish income and traffic reports for both blogs here at Blogging with Amanda.
Overall my Pinterest numbers were good. Two areas that went up were engagements and engaged audiences. It does not appear I had any crazy viral days or pins on Pinterest. I wouldn’t call it an amazing month, but it wasn’t bad at all either.
Goals
Let’s quickly list off goals I have for October for Mom Wife and Everyday Life.
I want to start publishing pins with pictures I have taken. Scratch that. I don’t care for that phrasing.
I am going to start publishing pins with pictures I have taken.
I am going to start running Ezoic ads on my website.
I am going to batch content creation to get ahead on my posts for October and hopefully November.
Strategy/Changes
I need to continue perfecting my batching strategy and what work needs to be done when. I think I am doing well but can still improve.
I have tried making a specific day equal a specific task.

I have tried this for a couple of weeks and overall it is working, but I think I need to make it more of a weekly focus.
Weekly Focus:
- Week 1 = Blog 1 Content Publishing
- Week 2 = Blog 2 Content Publishing
- Week 3 = Blog 1 Pins, Linking, Images
- Week 4 = Blog 2 Pins, Linking, Images
During each week I will continue to publish pins as needed. Typically on Mondays and Fridays.
Maybe a hybrid of the two schedules could work. I still feel new to blogging and continue adding new tasks to my to-do list constantly.
My Pinterest strategy is changing slightly in reducing the number of pins published per day. The other huge change is publishing pins that have images I have taken. I still have pins created with stock photos that I will use. I am just going to start incorporating those images I have taken.
Hopefully, these unique images will give me the bump in Pinterest traffic that I am after.
And finally the last thing that is new to the blog, not necessarily a strategy for working, but a strategy for making money is joining Ezoic Access Now. Let’s talk about that more.
Ezoic Access Now
I decided it is time to dabble in ads. I did not want to waste time with Google Ad Sense. I know my traffic would bring in pennies. Ezoic has a new program though where to can join by taking tests regardless of your traffic or pageviews.
I started the process on 9/20/21 and got everything set up and the ball rolling.
On 9/23/2021 I took the Monetization Test and passed on my first try.
My site needed to be reviewed and that was expected to be done 10/4/21
At the moment while writing this report I do not have ads yet on my site. This week I will be working on that process.
I am excited to get started with Ezoic and hopefully have income to report every month moving forward.

Feelings
I feel good overall. I wish I was getting a bit more action on Amazon. More clicks and a few purchases would be great.
I think getting ads running and seeing that little bit of income there will be motivating. I just hope low ad income does not have a depressing effect.
Conclusion
I feel like I am pushing myself and developing so many skills. I so badly want to be successful. I want to be a blogger.
I don’t plan to quit. I am loving this blogging journey so very much.
